Terms of Use

Last updated: October 26, 2026

These terms are between you and Renviel (“we”). By downloading or using Renviel, you agree to them.

The software

Renviel is provided free of charge, as is, without warranties of any kind, and may change or stop at any time. It is currently in beta. The app checks for updates and installs them when you confirm.

Renviel's code is licensed under the Apache License 2.0. That license covers the code, not the Renviel name, logo or icon: a modified version may not use them.

Accounts

A Renviel account is optional: everything in the app works without one. You sign in with your email address, GitHub or Google. You are responsible for what happens under your account, so keep your sign-in secure. By creating an account you agree that we, and the service providers that help us run the service, process your email address (and, with GitHub or Google, your name and profile picture) to provide the account. You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Account, and we may suspend or delete an account that abuses the service. What we do with account data is in the Privacy Policy.

AI agents act on your computer

Provider CLIs can read and modify files and run commands in the folders you give them, depending on the permission mode you choose. Review their changes and keep backups; you are responsible for what you let them do.

Third-party providers and software

Renviel is an independent project, not affiliated with or endorsed by any AI provider. Product names are trademarks of their owners and are used only to say which tools Renviel works with.

Renviel runs the official CLIs. You sign in to them yourself, with your own accounts. Each provider's terms and plan limits apply to your use of its service, and you are responsible for complying with them. Software that Renviel installs for you has its own license, and the open-source components in Renviel keep theirs (Settings → About → Open-source licenses).

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for damages arising from the use of Renviel, including lost data, code changes made by AI agents, or charges from providers. Nothing in these terms limits liability for willful misconduct or gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be limited by law.

Consumer rights

If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live and may go to its courts.

Changes

We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version. Continued use means you accept the updated terms.
